Full Tour Itinerary
From Edinburgh, we head for The Kelpies. During our stop, we'll be able to get up close to these towering horse-head sculptures, which celebrate the role that heavy horses played in Scotland's industrial past.
Next, we head northwards and pass Stirling with views of its impressive Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills beyond.
Then it’s into the Highlands through the scenic beauty of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, once home to the infamous cattle thief and rogue, Rob Roy MacGregor. We’ll hear tales of his adventures as we make our way through the sprawling Strathyre Forest.
Next, follow the shoreline of beautiful Loch Earn before stopping in Crieff to visit Scotland’s oldest whisky distillery. On your visit to Glenturret, you will learn how the ‘water of life’ is made, and you can sample a wee dram for yourself.
There will also be time for a leisurely lunch in the distillery’s award-winning restaurant.
Explore the peaceful Hermitage and take a short woodland walk to see the spectacular Black Linn Falls on the River Braan.
Next, stop in Dunkeld with its spectacular cathedral on the banks of the River Tay before returning south through Highland Perthshire and through the ancient Kingdom of Fife. You’ll get amazing views of the Forth Bridge as we make our way back to Edinburgh.
Back in Edinburgh, you will have free time to have dinner and explore the city before making your own way to Edinburgh Castle.
Once seen and never forgotten: there’s always something magical about the World famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Performed on the esplanade with Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop, the location is simply breathtaking.

Staged every year as part of the world-famous Edinburgh Festival, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a unique and memorable celebration of music, dance and military pageantry.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of the floodlit Edinburgh Castle, almost a thousand musicians, pipers, drummers, singers, and dancers perform at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on the Esplanade.
One of the most memorable moments is the stirring performances of the Massed Pipes and Drums and Military Bands that emerge from beneath the portcullis gate, playing the rousing battle tunes of Scotland's famed regiments.

Tell me what the visit to a whisky distillery will be like?
A visit to a traditional whisky distillery is a feast for all the senses. After a warm welcome you’ll normally have a short audio/visual presentation on the the history of the distillery and the traditional methods used in the distilling process.
Next is a tour of the distillery where you you will experience all stages of the whisky making process from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturation.
Your tour will end with a tutored tasting of a malt whisky and the opportunity to buy a souvenir of your visit in the distillery shop.
How many people will be in the group?
The group size is normally between 16 and 33 passengers, however at times of peak demand larger coaches may be used.
