From the centre of bustling Glasgow, travel into the beauty of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Enjoy an ever-changing panorama as we journey towards our first stop in the Highland village of Tyndrum.
As the coach climbs the Black Mount, it offers fantastic views over Loch Tulla and the surrounding countryside. Our journey then reaches the wilderness of Rannoch Moor, which extends for some 50 sq miles and is one of the most remote areas left in Europe.
There is a stop amongst the majestic scenery of Glen Coe. We’ll hear stories of its colourful history, including the sad tale of the infamous massacre in 1692. Later, we make the short journey to Fort William for a refreshment break.
The famous “Road to the Isles” will take us through stunning scenery. As well as being one of Scotland’s most scenic drives, this route takes us through an area that will forever be connected to Bonnie Prince Charlie and the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion.
The 21 arches of the Glenfinnan Viaduct make a spectacular sight. Known to fans as the “Harry Potter Bridge”, we’ll be in time to watch the Jacobite Train* steam across, just like the Hogwarts Express does in the movies! Our extended stop will allow time to visit the atmospheric monument to the fallen Highlanders who fought for the Jacobite cause. It has a scenic location overlooking Loch Shiel, the filming location of the "Black Lake" in the grounds of Hogwarts School, where many Grindylow's lived.
We’ll make a stop by the “Bonnie Bonnie Banks” of Loch Lomond for refreshments before making the final part of the journey back to Glasgow. What a wizard day it’s been!
* Tour departures between 5 May and 26 September 2025 are timed to allow customers to view the Jacobite Steam Train crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
