Full Tour Itinerary
Welcome aboard your Edinburgh shore excursion. After disembarking from your ship, meet your driver/guide at the pier.
The tour commences with a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia. Step aboard and explore the luxurious quarters where the late Queen and members of the Royal Family once travelled on state visits and private holidays.
During your visit, you’ll follow in the steps of Prime Ministers and Presidents as you explore this floating Royal Palace. See the State Apartments, discover what life was like below decks for the crew and visit the ship’s bridge.
Next, enjoy a panoramic tour of Edinburgh City Centre, passing the charming streets of the Old Town and taking in stunning views from Arthur’s Seat (Mon-Sat only).
Your adventure carries on to the enchanting Royal Mile, where you’ll have the exciting opportunity to explore the legendary Edinburgh Castle, majestically sitting atop Castle Rock. Here, you can discover a treasure trove of history, including the fascinating ancient cannon known as “Mons Meg” and the stunning Scottish Crown Jewels - the crown, sword, and sceptre - affectionately referred to as the “Honours of Scotland.”
After your castle tour, enjoy free time to wander Castlehill, the Royal Mile’s oldest section. Discover its narrow closes and landmarks, such as St Giles’ Cathedral, while soaking up the historic atmosphere.
Finally, stop for photos at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the British Monarch since the 16th century, before heading back to your ship.
