Full Tour Itinerary
We leave Edinburgh behind and travel past Linlithgow and the ancient city of Stirling where we should get a good view of its impressive castle and the imposing Wallace Monument. Along the way listen to fascinating tales about our great Scottish freedom fighters Robert the Bruce and Sir William Wallace and the battles that have shaped Scotland’s history.
In the attractive town of Crieff we arrive at Glenturret Distillery where we can visit ‘The Famous Grouse Experience’, one of the most popular distilleries in Scotland. After an enlightening whisky tour you’ll be invited into the exclusive ‘Warehouse No. 9’. This room’s unique aromas and remarkable displays are truly breath-taking, and your ‘private nosing and tasting’ will be a true highlight of your time in Scotland. After a light lunch at the distillery’s restaurant, we travel through Perthshire to reach The Hermitage for a relaxing woodlands walk to see the cascading Black Linn Falls on the River Braan.
A short drive will take us to our final stop in the little village of Dunkeld to marvel at the architectural details of Dunkeld Cathedral, a building that unites Scotland’s Gothic and Norman past. Our return journey to Edinburgh will take us through the Kingdom of Fife and across the recently completed Queensferry Crossing.
Please note: As this tour celebrates whisky, it is unsuitable for those under the age of 18.
