Full Tour Itinerary
Set out on a personalised tour from Inverness to the Isle of Skye, travelling through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Highlands.
The journey begins with a drive along the shores of Loch Ness, where you follow the legendary waters to Invermoriston. Along the way there is pause to admire the views - and possibly spot the elusive Nessie.
Continue heading west through Glen Shiel to see iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed landmarks. Perched on a small island at the meeting point of three sea lochs, it provides a picture-perfect introduction to the wild beauty of the west coast.
Crossing the Skye Bridge, you arrive on the Isle of Skye and make your way to Portree, the island’s colourful harbour town. With its pastel-painted houses, sheltered bay and surrounding hills, it’s an ideal place to relax and enjoy lunch.
The afternoon is dedicated to Skye’s dramatic landscapes. Take in sweeping coastal views at Kilt Rock, enjoy a short walk to the cascading Lealt Falls, and stand beneath the striking rock pinnacle of the Old Man of Storr.
On the return journey to Inverness, a seasonal stop at Strome Viewpoint offers beautiful views across Loch Carron.
The last part of the journey goes by way of Achnasheen and the Black Isle before crossing the Moray Firth and returning to Inverness.
