Alnwick Castle and the Scottish Borders Tour

One day tour

On this wonderful tour travel through the picturesque Scottish Border Country. Cross into England to visit Alnwick Castle, the second largest inhabited castle in England. If you’re a Harry Potter fan you’ll recognise the castle as Hogwarts in the first two movies. Back in Scotland enjoy wonderful views of the Bass Rock when you explore the pretty town of North Berwick.

Can children travel this tour?
Children aged 3 years and older are welcome to travel on this tour. Children aged 3 to 16 inclusive travel at the appropriate child rate. We are sorry but children below the age of 3 cannot travel on this tour.
How many people will be in the group?
The group size is normally between 29 and 33 passengers. At times of peak demand (such as on public holidays) larger coaches may be used.
What features will the coach have?
You will usually travel in a modern eco-friendly mini or midi touring coach which is equipped with air-conditioning, comfortable reclining seats, large picture windows and seat belts.
Will there be stops for meals and are they included in the price of the tour?
Meals are not included in the tour price, but we will make stops where you can get refreshments and something to eat. If you wish, you can bring a packed lunch or pick up lunch items at a previous stop. Vegetarian food is widely available.  
Do you offer a hotel pick-up service?
We know that you will want to start your tour straight away rather than spending valuable time travelling around hotels. By offering a single centrally located departure point we can get you to Scotland’s best scenery as quickly as possible.
Can I reserve specific seats on the coach?
Seating on this tour is on a first come, first served basis and cannot be pre-booked. If you are travelling as part of a group please make sure that all members of the party arrive at the departure point together.


This tour will visit England, do I need a passport?
Scotland and England are part of the United Kingdom so there are no Border formalities and you’ll not need a passport. It might interest you to know that the border town of Berwick upon Tweed has passed between Scotland and England an amazing 13 times over the centuries.
