Full Tour Itinerary
Bid farewell to Inverness as we cross over the Moray Firth to reach the Black Isle. Travel to Achnasheen then through picturesque Glen Carron, stopping along the way so you can capture the view over Lochcarron. Make a short stop in Kyle of Lochalsh before making for the Skye Bridge.
First, we cross onto the little island of Eilean Ban then over the sea to Skye, the main event of our tour today. Our visit to the magical isle takes in wonderful coastal views of the islands of Pabay and Scalpay. Soon the stunningly beautiful sight of the Cuillin Hills comes into view. We’ll stop at Sligachan Bridge for a photo opportunity.
Portree is the main town on the island and is built around a natural harbour. The houses that surround it are painted in pleasant pastel shades making it the ideal background for your post on social media. We’ll enjoy a break for lunch in Portree. There is a working fleet of fishing boats based here so the freshly cooked fish and chips come highly recommended!
After an enjoyable lunch, we head to Glenbrittle where we can visit the enchanting Fairy Pools. The 2.4 km walk is rewarded with a series of natural pools and waterfalls where the blue and green water provides a magical appearance.
We return to the mainland and make the short journey to see Eilean Donan, one of Scotland's most attractive castles. It sits on a little island at the head of Loch Duich and has featured in a number of movies including Highlander and James Bond.
Our day continues with a drive through Glen Shiel where you will see the towering Five Sisters mountain range. A little later we will stop in the village of Invermoriston so you can enjoy a short walk to take in the charming view of Thomas Telford’s bridge and the cascading waterfall below.
Our tour concludes with a drive along the banks of mysterious Loch Ness. Keep that camera ready, just in case…….

We were concerned about a long day on the bus, but I can tell you our driver made enough stops available to us to get out and stretch constantly and was filling us with diverting stories that made the time pass well when we weren’t touring a location.

It was wonderful, apart from a lot of rain (which couldn't be helped and I was prepared for). Nature was very beautiful, whiskey excellent, and the mithology intriguing. Keep up the excellent work! Shout out to Donnie!
