Full Tour Itinerary
From Inverness, the Highland capital, we head south to Dochgarroch, where the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness begin.
There, you can hop on a cruise along the canal and the loch, which will take you to the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness.
You can wander around the castle before returning to your mini-bus.
We then drive to Invermoriston, where you can see the famous bridge and waterfalls. If you’re lucky, you might glimpse the salmon jumping here.
We stop for lunch at Fort Augustus, a charming village at the south end of Loch Ness. You can admire the fantastic views of the loch from here.
You can also visit the Caledonian Canal Centre and learn about the canal’s history. Or you can relax and watch the boats go through the locks.
Next, we visit the Falls of Foyers, a breathtaking waterfall that you can reach by a pleasant forest walk.
Our last stop of the day is Dores Beach, a beautiful spot with uninterrupted views of the loch, where you can try to spot Nessie one more time!
We then head back to Inverness.

Visit hauntingly beautiful Urquhart Castle, once one of Scotland’s largest castles. The castle boasts a commanding presence overlooking the loch.
After time to explore the castle and admire the views take to the water for a cruise on Loch Ness. The cruise boat is equipped with on-board sonar, comfortable seating inside and out as well as toilets.
Refreshments are available for purchase or you can bring packed food.
You can purchase this combination ticket from your driver/guide on the day of the tour and payment is in cash only.
For operational reasons it’s not possible to purchase the cruise or admission to Urquhart Castle separately.
Will there be a tour commentary?
Each tour is led by an experienced driver/guide who will provide an informative and entertaining commentary in English.
You’ll hear tales of the Clans, bloody battles and the famous characters that have shaped the history of Scotland. You will learn too of the landscape that surrounds you and of the nature that makes Scotland so special.
Be ready to have a laugh as well - you’re bound to be told some really corny jokes!
Can I book seats on the coach?
The seating on the coach is not allocated so you are free to sit in any vacant seat.
We recommend that you and your party arrive at the boarding point together so that you can be seated in the same part of the coach.
