What will I experience on this Hop-on, Hop-off Tour?
Without doubt the best way to discover Scotland’s great cities is to enjoy one of our open-top bus tours (don’t worry, there is covered seating - just in case it rains!). Take the full tour to orient yourself then use your ticket as the most convenient way of getting between the key sights and attractions.   All our City Tours are operated by modern double-deck buses which provide the best vantage point for sightseeing.
All tours provide a full commentary in English and on the Edinburgh and Glasgow tours in other major languages too. If you’re travelling with children these tours are a fun and entertaining way to discover your new surroundings – look out for the special kid’s commentary tracks on the Edinburgh and Glasgow tours.    Tickets are valid for 24 hours and can be used to hop-off to visit a museum or attraction then hop-on a later bus to continue your tour. A full circuit around the tour route will take about 1 hour (90 minutes in Glasgow). 
Where can I board the bus?
The main departure point for the Inverness City Tour is Bridge Street, outside the Visitor Information Centre. The tour has 13 stops and you can board the bus at any of these locations – just exchange your voucher for a ticket from the driver. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from the time that it is issued. Keep your ticket in a safe place as it cannot be replaced if you lose it.  
What happens if it rains?
This tour operates rain or shine all year round. The buses that are used on the tour have been specially designed with a covered area at the front of the upper deck offering protection from the elements.
Can children travel this tour?
Children of all ages are welcome to travel on this hop-on, hop-off tour. Special child prices are available for children aged 5 to 16 years of age. Children under 5 years are carried free of charge. 
How will I know where to get off?
There are so many places to explore on the Inverness City Tour. The key attractions at each stop are announced so that you’ll know where to alight. You’ll also be given a handy tour map that lists the places you’ll want to visit. 
Can I show my ticket on my smartphone?               
No, you will need to print the voucher that we send you and exchange it with either the bus driver.
Are admission fees included in the price of the ticket?
Admission fees are not included in the price of the tour. Many of the most popular museums and art galleries on the tour route are free of charge.
What is the duration of the tour?
A full circuit of the tour route will take 60 minutes, if you don’t get off the bus. Buses operate every hour from 09:30 hrs until 15:30 hrs.
