Day One
Glasgow Arrival & Loch Lomond
Your trip starts at 2:30 pm when you meet your tour director at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond. It is located 20 miles from Glasgow Airport so please ensure that you have appropriate transfer arrangements in place. Take a short cruise on Loch Lomond to admire scenery and catch your first glimpse of the Highlands. Meet your tour director and fellow travellers over a welcome drink before dinner.

Day Two
Isle of Bute & Mount Stuart House Excursion
Take a short ferry ride to the Isle of Bute to tour Mount Stuart House. This Neo-Gothic country house was built in the late 1870’s and installed with many Victorian comforts. After your guided tour around the highly-decorated chambers, walk through the gardens and time in Rothesay, the main town on the island. Return to your hotel for free time to relax before dining in your hotel once more.

Day Three
Loch Lomond – The Trossachs – Royal Deeside
Travel through the Trossachs, often called the "Highlands in Miniature” with its many lakes and mountains. Stop in the town of Callander and visit Dunkeld Cathedral, which dates from 1318 and was partly destroyed during the Reformation in 1560. It is set in peaceful and lovely grounds. Head to your manor house hotel in Royal Deeside and relax before dinner.

Day Four
Whisky Tasting & Royal Deeside Excursion
Visit Royal Lochnagar Distillery today to see how whisky is created and enjoy a sample. Then explore Royal Deeside, a lovely valley where the Royal Family vacations in Balmoral Castle. In Ballater view the many shops with royal warrants which the Royal Family patronises. Enjoy a garden tour at Crathes Castle, followed by tea and scones. Return to your hotel in time for dinner.

Day Five
Royal Deeside - Glamis Castle – Edinburgh
Tour Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of "Macbeth” and childhood home of the late Queen Mother and enjoy coffee and shortbread in a 16th century chamber. Head to St Andrews, the "Home of Golf” for a casual lunch at the Jigger Inn, part of the Old Course Hotel. See the famous Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, the Old Course and the medieval town. Then take a walking tour of the town centre with a local guide. Continue into Edinburgh for a lively Scottish Evening.

Day Six
Edinburgh Castle & City Tour
This morning explore Edinburgh on a sightseeing tour. Compare the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian "New Town” with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile. Finish your tour at the imposing Edinburgh Castle.
On August 6 to 20 departures, seats are reserved for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
