Full Tour Itinerary
We leave Edinburgh behind and make our way to our first stop at South Queensferry, where we will stand beneath the iconic Forth Bridge. The bridge, built in 1890, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a striking position spanning the Firth of Forth. It has been voted Scotland’s greatest man-made wonder.
Our journey then takes us across to the Fife village of Falkland, which was notably used as a location in the Outlander television series.
We will spend a leisurely afternoon in the ancient, historic town of St Andrews, famous throughout the world as the home of golf. If you are a fan why not take time out to visit the British Golf Museum which sits overlooking the world famous ‘Old Course’ where you can take a short walk to get a photograph of the famous Swilken Bridge.
There is much more to St Andrews than golf, of course. The town boasts the oldest University in Scotland. There are also lovely beaches to be explored, and the chance to visit the Cathedral and Castle, which now lie in ruins. Our tour guide will conduct a free guided walking tour, which you are welcome to join.
Later why not enjoy a delicious ice cream made in the local area, before we head back to Edinburgh.
