Frequently Asked Questions

What will I experience on this Freestyle Mini Tour?
These tours are ideal if you are an independent spirit. Instead of spending your entire tour with the same group youll join a different party of fellow passengers each day to explore different aspects of the Highlands. The Freestyle touring concept is particularly popular in Canada, New Zealand and Australia as it offers the ideal blend of structured sightseeing and relaxing free time.  All Freestyle Mini Tours are based in Inverness, which is an excellent base offering good quality accommodation, great shopping plus a wide choice of dining opportunities and evening diversions.
On the journeys between Glasgow and Inverness youll travel in a large motorcoach (seating around 50 passengers) allowing you to relax and enjoy the journey in comfort. Once you are based in Inverness you will travel on an excursion each day which will be led by a local driver/guide in an air-conditioned mini or midicoach (seating between 16 and 29 passengers). An entertaining and informative commentary will be provided throughout.
On your arrival in Inverness youll be taken directly to your accommodation. Each morning youll be picked up from your lodgings by the tour coach. After a day of discovery youll be dropped in Inverness City Centre where you can get something to eat before returning to your accommodation. If you are a free spirit that likes to get behind the tourist veneer then a Freestyle mini-tour is just for you.* If the number of passengers travelling from Glasgow is small we may combine the Edinburgh and Glasgow departures. When this happens youll be transferred to the coach by private car or people carrier.
