Tour Summary

Castles, Crown Jewels and Music - this classic touring experience will introduce you to England Scotland and Wales.

This one way tour links the Capital Cities of London and Edinburgh with a little bit of magic for Harry Potter fans of all ages!

Day 1: Welcome to London. Today is free for you to relax before enjoying a Kick-off Party in a London restaurant.

Day 2: Explore London on a Harry Potter themed tour. Visit the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels.

Day 3: Today is completely free for you to enjoy London on your own.

Day 4: Travel to Oxford then see more Harry Potter filming locations in Lacock.

Day 5: Visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room in Bath before crossing into Wales. Enjoy a staying in a castle for 2 nights!

Day 6: Explore Liverpool and Chester on a full day excursion.

Day 7: Discover all about life in a Big House when you visit Tatton Park.

Day 8: Learn about life as a Roman soldier when you visit Hadrians Wall. Later travel to Edinburgh.

Day 9: This morning enjoy a city tour of Edinburgh including a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Afternoon is free.

Day 10: The tour ends after breakfast. Airport transfers are available.

Day One
Arrive in London
Welcome to London one of the most exciting capital cities in the world! After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to explore. This evening, meet with your fellow travellers and Travel Director at the hotel. Tonight we will take you out for a fun evening at a popular London restaurant for your Kick-Off Party. Your Travel Director will explain all the cool things you can do in London.

Day Two
London Sightseeing
Your Local Expert shows you the city''s sights, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. See the location of the red telephone box where Harry Potter and Mr. Weasley descend into the secret Ministry of Magic in the ''Order of the Phoenix''. Admire the magical platform 9 sign where Harry catches the Hogwarts Express! Watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (subject to event taking place). After free time for lunch at St Katherine''s Dock near Tower Bridge, visit the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels
Day Three
London Free Day
Today you are free to explore the city on your own. Perhaps visit Tate Modern or the scary London Dungeon. Shop for fashions in the West End, pop into the most famous toy store in the world Hamleys on Regent Street or take a day trip to Windsor Castle. Afterwards you might like to take an optional experience to the London Eye for amazing views across this wonderful city or take a cruise along the Thames. The options are endless and your Travel Director will be happy to help.
Day Four
London Oxford Bristol
Travel west to Oxford for an orientation of this famous university city. Kings, Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers have all studied here, and you may even have the chance to look inside one of the historic halls (if students are not sitting exams). Later travel to picturesque Lacock in rural Wiltshire one of England''s most beautiful villages. See Harry Potter''s house and other historic buildings used as locations in recent films. Perhaps take time to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and cake in one of the local tea rooms before arriving in Bristol for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day Five
Bristol Bath Ruthin Castle
Your orientation of Bath includes the Pulteney Bridge and famous Georgian architecture. Visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room and see Bath Abbey, founded in 1499. Cross the border into Wales and visit the town of Llangollen, famous for its annual Eisteddfod. Travel over the picturesque Horseshoe Pass to reach the fantastic medieval-style castle that is your home for the next two nights!
Tonight enjoy a Welsh themed dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day Six
Excursion to Liverpool
Spend the day exploring Liverpool. There are many things to see and do, including the free World Museum and the Merseyside Maritime Museum featuring a gallery devoted to the story of the Titanic. Consider joining an optional experience which takes in sites further afield from the city centre including Liverpool Cathedral and Mathew Street, birthplace of the Beatles. Later vireturn to your castle for free time to relax in the extensive grounds.
Day Seven
Ruthin Castle Tatton Park Lancaster
Visit Tatton Park for a Unique Insight, into an elegant mansion house set in 1,000 acre deer park, where the butler and housekeeper take you on a guided tour. Continue north to the Lake District and see some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. Perhaps take a ride in a steam train or cruise across Lake Windermere before reaching your hotel, where you dine tonight.

Day Eight
Lancaster Hadrian's Wall Edinburgh
Visit the Roman Army Museum for an insight into life as a Roman soldier and see excavations on the site. Visit Hadrian''s Wall, built by order of the Emperor Hadrian in AD122, the most important Roman monument in Britain. Later in Edinburgh Scotland''s capital your Travel Director will propose a fun night out!
During the Edinburgh Festival, tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo are included.

Day Nine
Edinburgh Sightseeing
Experience the beautiful sights of Edinburgh during your sightseeing tour with a Local Expert, including the Castle, Royal Mile and the famous Scott Monument. See the Scottish Crown Jewels during your visit to Edinburgh Castle and hear tales of bravery, treason and intrigue. Alternatively you can opt to visit the nearby Edinburgh Camera Obscura. Spend the afternoon exploring on your own or join your Travel Director for an Optional Experience.
Celebrate the end of your journey this evening with your fellow travellers and Travel Director at a special Farewell Dinner.
Day Ten
Depart Edinburgh
Say goodbye to your companions at the end of an amazing holiday. Transfers are available to Edinburgh Airport. Conditions apply.

What will I experience on this Escorted Tour?

Each has been carefully selected for comfort, quality and ambiance located in the best locations close to the shopping areas and the key sights. In rural locations your accommodation will be in the best available hotels.
Breakfast is usually a buffet, where you can choose from cereals, yoghurts and the bread basket. From the hot plate youll be able to select from freshly grilled items and local specialities. A stop is usually made for lunch in a town or city where there is a choice of restaurants available.
Dinner is usually enjoyed as a group and the menu will be table dhote, which means a selection of house specials. On some tours there will be a featured meal such as a Scottish evening, with bagpipers, dancing demonstrations and a taste of haggis!
What type of room should I choose?
Selecting the right sleeping arrangements can be a little bit confusing so here is a description of what you can expect from the hotel accommodation offered as part of your tour:

Single room - this is a room for one person sleeping in a single bed.
Twin room - this is a room for two people sleeping in two separate beds.
Double room - this is a room for two people sharing one large bed.
Family room - this is a room for three people sleeping in one large bed (2 people) and one single bed (1 person). 
Please note that a family room is normally a standard double or twin room with either a sofa bed or a rollaway bed.  All room types other than twins are subject to availability.  
How much luggage can I bring?
You can bring one suitcase and one carry-on bag per person. The maximum weight allowance and luggage dimensions varies by tour so you should check the tour documentation for the luggage policy that applies to your tour.   
What meals are included?
One of the great things about travelling on an Escorted Tour is the generous number of meals included as standard. Start the day with a freshly cooked breakfast or, if you prefer, theres always a lighter continental option available too. Youll find that some evening dinners included which will give you the opportunity of sampling some local delicacies. Can you arrange pre-tour accommodation?

Can I reserve specific seats on the coach?
Seats cannot be pre-booked however your tour director will implement a seat rotation system which will allow all passengers the opportunity of experiencing spectacular views from different seats on the motorcoach. 
How many people will be on the tour?
The number of people travelling on an Escorted Tour will not normally be more than 50 passengers. 
Are airport transfers included?
This tour will depart from a Central London location that can easily be reached by public transport. Airport transfers will be available from the Edinburgh Hotel to Edinburgh Airport on day-10. Your tour director will co-ordinate this facility.
