Tour Summary

This deluxe tour combines first-class accommodation with luxury transport and an exquisitely crafted itinerary to give you a real taste of Scotland's pride and passion.

Day 1: Arrive in Glasgow and transfer to your deluxe hotel by the banks of Loch Lomond. Later experience a cruise on the Queen of Scotlands Lakes.

Day 2: Enjoy a full day excursion to the Isle of Bute and a visit to amazing Mount Stuart House.

Day 3: Tour through the picturesque Trossachs and Glen Shee to reach Royal Deeside.

Day 4: Spend the day discovering Royal Deeside. Visit Royal Lochnagar malt whisky distillery and enjoy a guided garden tour at Crathes Castle.

Day 5: Tour to Glamis Castle then visit St Andrews before arriving in Edinburgh. This evening attend a lively Scottish show.

Day One
Glasgow Arrival & Loch Lomond
Your trip starts at 2:30 pm when you meet your tour director at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond. It is located 20 miles from Glasgow Airport so please ensure that you have appropriate transfer arrangements in place. Take a short cruise on Loch Lomond to admire scenery and catch your first glimpse of the Highlands. Meet your tour director and fellow travellers over a welcome drink before dinner.

Day Two
Isle of Bute & Mount Stuart House Excursion
Take a short ferry ride to the Isle of Bute to tour Mount Stuart House. This Neo-Gothic country house was built in the late 1870s and installed with many Victorian comforts. After your guided tour around the highly-decorated chambers, walk through the gardens and time in Rothesay, the main town on the island. Return to your hotel for free time to relax before dining in your hotel once more.

Day Three
Loch Lomond The Trossachs Royal Deeside
Travel through the Trossachs, often called the "Highlands in Miniature with its many lakes and mountains. Stop in the town of Callander and visit Dunkeld Cathedral, which dates from 1318 and was partly destroyed during the Reformation in 1560. It is set in peaceful and lovely grounds. Head to your manor house hotel in Royal Deeside and relax before dinner.

Day Four
Whisky Tasting & Royal Deeside Excursion
Visit Royal Lochnagar Distillery today to see how whisky is created and enjoy a sample. Then explore Royal Deeside, a lovely valley where the Royal Family vacations in Balmoral Castle. In Ballater view the many shops with royal warrants which the Royal Family patronises. Enjoy a garden tour at Crathes Castle, followed by tea and scones. Return to your hotel in time for dinner.

Day Five
Royal Deeside - Glamis Castle Edinburgh
Tour Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of "Macbeth and childhood home of the late Queen Mother and enjoy coffee and shortbread in a 16th century chamber. Head to St Andrews, the "Home of Golf for a casual lunch at the Jigger Inn, part of the Old Course Hotel. See the famous Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, the Old Course and the medieval town. Then take a walking tour of the town centre with a local guide. Continue into Edinburgh for a lively Scottish Evening.

Day Six
Edinburgh Castle & City Tour
This morning explore Edinburgh on a sightseeing tour. Compare the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian "New Town with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile. Finish your tour at the imposing Edinburgh Castle.
On August 6 to 20 departures, seats are reserved for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

What type of room should I choose?
Selecting the right sleeping arrangements can be a little bit confusing so here is a description of what you can expect from the hotel accommodation offered as part of your tour:
Single room - this is a room for one person sleeping in a single bed.
Twin room - this is a room for two people sleeping in two separate beds
Double room - this is a room for two people sharing onelarge bed
Family room - this is a room for three people sleeping in one large bed (2 people) and one single bed (1 person). Please note that a family room is normally a standard double or twin room with either a sofa bed or a rollaway bed. All room types other than twin rooms are subject to availability.
How much luggagecan I bring?
You can bring one suitcase and one carry-on bag per person. The maximum weight allowance and luggage dimensions varies by tour so you should check the tour documentation for the luggage policy that applies to your tour.
What meals are included?
One of the great things about travelling on a Premium Escorted Tour is the generous number of meals included as standard. Start the day with a freshly cooked breakfast or, if you prefer, theres always a lighter continental option available too. Can I reserve specific seats on the coach?
Seats cannot be pre-booked however your tour director will implement a seat rotation system which will allow all passengers the opportunity of experiencing spectacular views from different seats on the motorcoach.
How many people will be on the tour?
The number of people travelling on a Premium Escorted Tour will not normally be more than 40 passengers.
Are airport transfers included?
Complimentary transfers are included on day-one from Glasgow Airport to the Loch Lomond Hotel at 08:00 hrs, 10:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs and on day- seven from the Edinburgh Hotel to arrive at Edinburgh Airport at 06:30 hrs and 09:00 hrs.
